The Most Interesting Thing in the Sky in May
There’s a lot happening in the sky right now, but May 22 stands out. Not because it guarantees an event. Because of the pressure building underneath it.
At the center of it, the Sun and Uranus are sitting right on top of each other at 1° Gemini.
That’s not subtle.
Something gets said. Something gets revealed. Something cuts through the noise and disrupts the narrative. This is communication that doesn’t stay contained—whether that’s speaking, writing, or simply seeing something clearly for the first time.
And it may be shocking. Not just to others—but to you. Because directly across from that, we’ve got Black Moon Lilith at 27° Scorpio, retrograde. This isn’t surface-level irritation. This is what’s been buried. What’s been suppressed. What hasn’t been allowed to come up. And now it is.
And while the Sun and Uranus at 1° Gemini are within orb, the tighter anchor point here is Ceres at 27° Taurus, almost exactly opposing Black Moon Lilith. That’s where the tension locks in. Ceres in Taurus isn’t abstract. It’s embodied. It’s survival. It’s devotion at a physical, lived level.
Now bring in the Moon at 26° Leo. That Moon is tying directly into Ceres and Black Moon Lilith, forming a tight emotional square. Leo doesn’t whisper. It reacts. It expresses. It wants to be seen.
This isn’t quiet energy.
And that tension doesn’t just sit on its own. It’s pulled into a wider configuration through Hecate at 29° Aquarius, which is squaring both Ceres and Black Moon Lilith and opposing the Moon. That’s a pressure point.
Hecate at 29°—a threshold degree—is about crossroads. Decision points. Moments where you can’t stay where you are, but you may not fully know where you’re going yet. Opposing the emotional expression (Moon) and squaring the embodied reaction (Ceres) and buried anger (Black Moon Lilith), it intensifies the sense that something has to shift.
Then we hit the conditioning piece: the South Node at 4° Virgo, squaring the Sun and Uranus at 1° Gemini. This is the past. This is where you were corrected. Where you were told not to speak, not to disrupt, not to get it wrong. Where expression came with consequences. That doesn’t just disappear.
So now there’s a split:
The part that wants to speak (Sun/Uranus at 1° Gemini)
And the part that remembers what happened last time (South Node at 4° Virgo)
And sitting right there, the Moon at 26° Leo is basically saying: watch me anyway.
On the other side, we’ve got the North Node at 4° Pisces, pulling forward—but not in a clean, linear way. Pisces doesn’t do that. It’s more like a pull toward something meaningful, something spiritual, something that matters—even if you can’t fully define it yet.
Layered into all of this is Neptune at 3° Aries, closely conjunct Vesta, sextiling the Sun and Uranus. So now the question becomes: What do you believe in? What is sacred to you? What are you actually devoted to? Because you may feel called to act or speak —but with Neptune there, there’s also the possibility that what feels true isn’t entirely clear yet.
Underneath all of this, Pluto is sitting at 5° Aquarius, retrograde, forming a trine to the Sun and Uranus at 1° Gemini. This isn’t random disruption. There are deeper shifts happening around power, values, and exchange—and they’re feeding into what’s coming up now. The energy is building, whether or not it breaks through immediately.
This is a point where people are fed up. Where something pushes forward. Where conversations happen that might not have happened before. And yes—this can feel divisive. People may dig in. Pick sides. React.
But it can also expose what was already there—what just hadn’t been said out loud yet. Either way, this isn’t quiet energy.
It’s not neat. It’s not controlled. And it’s not going to stay hidden.
This isn’t a prediction, and I’m not a fortune teller. This is my intuitive riff on the energy in the sky for this day—take what resonates.
